ACM UMAP 2026 opens registration. 11 days left to benefit from early-bird pricing. Unfortunately, 25% VAT is added to all prices. The payment company, gave me this additional information:
According to Skatteverket (the Swedish Tax Agency) output VAT at a rate of 25% must be charged on the participation fee for a conference. As of the 19th of June 2019, the service of admission to an event that is cultural, artistic, scientific or educational in nature, or similar, such as trade fairs and exhibitions, is considered supplied within Sweden if the event takes place there. This means that Swedish VAT must be charged regardless of who the purchaser is and where they are established, provided that the conference takes place in Sweden.

I am the founder of Recommender-Systems.com and head of the Intelligent Systems Group (ISG) at the University of Siegen, Germany https://isg.beel.org. We conduct research in recommender-systems (RecSys), personalization and information retrieval (IR) as well as on automated machine learning (AutoML), meta-learning and algorithm selection. Domains we are particularly interested in include smart places, eHealth, manufacturing (industry 4.0), mobility, visual computing, and digital libraries.
