Fraunhofer plans to create a center for AI (including RecSys) for the energy sector

According to PV Magazine, the German Fraunhofer Association is planning to create a new centre for artificial intelligence for energy systems. The goal of the center is to automate processes relating to electricity, heating, and also mobility. PV magazine explicitly mentions that this includes recommender systems. Currently, Fraunhofer employs 15 researchers in this field. The new centre shall employ 100 experts.
