ACM TORS August/September ’25 Roundup

As the community converges on Prague for RecSys 2025 (Sept 22–26), ACM TORS has had a busy late summer: our Fall issue rolled out, multiple special issues opened (or advanced) their calls, and —new this year— highlighted TORS papers are showcased as posters at RecSys. Below is everything you might have missed.

1) New issue & paper highlights

Many new manuscripts were accepted for publication. A few representative highlights include:

  • Pairwise Intent Graph Embedding Learning for Context-aware Recommendation with Knowledge Graph — advancing graph-based intent modeling for context awareness. ACM Digital Library
  • Efficient Session-based Recommendation with Contrastive Graph-based Shortest-Path Search — a session-based method that frames next-item prediction via contrastive, shortest-path search on graphs. ACM Digital Library
  • Review-Based Explainable Recommendations: A Transparency Perspective — synthesizes progress on explanation via user reviews and where it improves user trust and transparency. ACM Digital Library
  • Introduction to the Special Issue on Knowledge Transferring for Recommender Systems — the guest editors’ primer to KT4Rec, setting the stage for transfer and adaptation across domains. ACM Digital Library

2) TORS at RecSys 2025

We’re delighted that ACM TORS highlighted papers are featured in the RecSys 2025 Poster Sessions across the main conference days—look for the “Poster Session: … + ACM TORS” blocks in the official program. If you’re in Prague, stop by to meet the authors and editors. RecSys

3) In case you missed it

  • TORS is a quarterly journal (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter). If you’re new to TORS, start with the inaugural editorial for scope and aims. ACM Digital Library+1
